About Seattle Fat Mall
Built by fat folks, for fat folks — with love, care, and joyous intention.
Our Story
Seattle Fat Mall sprang from a vision by Curvy Cactus and Chub Rub Clothing — two local, fat-owned brands that believe in celebrating big bodies through fashion, art, and community.
Curvy Cactus, founded by sisters Amber and Alyss Seelig in 2021, started as a curated resale boutique for plus-size fashion—and evolved into a vibrant, joyful experience space in downtown Seattle
Chub Rub Clothing, launched by designer Candace Frank in early 2023, builds on her legacy of bold, fat-positive fashion and creative liberation—expanding into tees, swimwear, stickers, and the beloved Fattie tee everyone’s been wearing proudly.
Together, we teamed up with Seattle Restored to turn the Curvy Cactus storefront into a permanent city space for fat, queer, and disabled community through December 2025
Our Mission
To reclaim space, creativity, and community. We curate fat-friendly vendors, host accessible events, and build a welcoming environment where big bodies are honored, visible, and powerful.
Our Values
Fat Liberation: Your body takes up space. Here, that’s celebrated.
Queer & Disability-Friendly: Access, inclusivity, and intersectional joy are at our core.
Mutual Aid & Community: We share space, skills, time, resources—and we invite you to contribute.
Joy as Resistance: In crafting, dancing, painting, shopping — joy proves we belong.
